A formal process is optional. A buyer is not.

If you do not want staged data rooms, teaser documents and a week-by-week campaign, say so. Plenty of buyers in this network will still talk, especially when the value is the clients rather than the spreadsheet.

Formal processes exist for businesses that can bear scrutiny and delay. Many of the files we see cannot. Cash is tight, the owner is exhausted, and the customers will leave if the phones go unanswered.

Selling without a formal process is then a practical choice: introduce two operators, tell the truth about the mess, and see if one of them wants the work.

Skip the process. Keep the conversation.
